Ok, so I have had most of my Christmas decor up since the week before Thanksgiving (I know…I’m one of those…), but we waited to get our tree until after the holiday. I wanted to share some of my ideas…I feel like I went a little more simple this year (I blame that on my 5 month old), but I loved how everything turned out!
Ok here we go!
I started with my fireplace, because it’s my goal in life to constantly make it a statement piece in my house (you can see my fireplace makeover here). I added greenery and lights to the mantle (literally my favorite combination at Christmas), and threw some sparkly gold ornaments throughout the greenery. The candle sticks are on my mantle year around, but don’t they look even better with the Christmas decor? The wreath and gold trees are from Hobby Lobby…and when their Christmas decorations are 50% ALL the time, how can I not visit the store weekly during the months of November and December??
I found the “Fresh Cut Christmas Trees” sign in the dollar bin at Target…am I the only one who gets sucked in by that area EVERY time they walk into Target?
My THREE sweet stockings are from Pottery Barn…they are so simple, but I LOVE them.
For my built-ins next to the fireplace, I just added a few Christmas touches…
What do you think of Dobby’s personal little stocking? I kinda love it.
One of my favorite parts of Christmas is pulling out my hand-carved nativity set that we got in Israel a couple of years ago…isn’t it so pretty?
I put my skinny tree in my family room this year. I love the way it looks in this space!
I was super excited to decorate my dining table this year because it’s NEW and I love it! I got the table runner from Target a few years ago. The mason jars actually stay on my dining table all the time, but I added some white beads, gold flowers and leaves to the greenery that was already in there.
We just put these shelves up not long ago, and I decided it would be cute to display all of my Christmas cards on them! I love getting Christmas cards from people…it’s one of my favorite things about Christmas (I feel like I am saying that about everything…).
Here are a few other Christmas details around my house!
And here is our big, beautiful tree! I love the shape of it this year. I have an issue picking trees that are too big for the space, but I THINK we did okay this time…
And how cute is this wrapping paper?? Another Target find…of course….
One last thing…I know we are already into December, but if you are looking for a good Christmas Advent to do with your family, here are two that I recommend!
Ok I will leave you with this! The sweetest little 5 month old I ever did see…
I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful season!
Until next time!
