Our Thanksgiving and some other fun updates!

Hey there! I feel like it’s been forever since I have blogged…things just got so crazy for us lately between Thanksgiving, family in town, and then Jordan had to take a work trip out to Vegas for several days! Now that we are all back together, I am hoping things will slow down a little bit, but now that it’s OFFICIALLY the Christmas season (I have been listening to Christmas music since the beginning of November, so thank goodness it’s socially acceptable now…), I know things won’t be slowing down too much.

I just wanted to share some updates from our Thanksgiving and other fun things going on! This was Andie’s first Thanksgiving, so of course it was extra special this year (I feel like all of these “firsts” with Andie are so special…I hope they never end).

We went up to see family in North Carolina Thanksgiving day. As you know, my sister has a little boy 5 weeks younger than Andie, and my cousin has a 2 year old and a 10 month old, so things are a little crazier during the holidays! Here they are all together…if you only knew how many pictures we took of them! Of course, Andie is front and center, hamming it up as usual…

IMG_0149IMG_0148Aren’t they the cutest?? This stage of life is so fun! These kids crack me up.

We also spent some time with Jordan’s family! His mama cooked a STELLAR Thanksgiving lunch (I feel like I can share this with y’all because we are close…I legit wore my maternity jeans to Thanksgiving lunch this year…you’re welcome for that idea for next year).

Andie is so blessed to have a family that loves her so much!

My parents with the babies

So normally, pre-babies, my sister, sister-in-law, and I put on our workout attire and head out to brave the Black Friday crowds…this year, not so much. My sister and I WERE able to steal a couple hours together at Target on Friday while our mama and her mother-in-law watched the babies at our house. We kept saying how a trip to Target with a Starbucks coffee in hand and without babies is the free time we never knew we needed sometimes! Plus, the babies got some more time together while we were away…they are going to be the best of friends…all while tattling on each other at the same time…

Saturday we spent the day together, just the 3 of us, and went to get our Christmas tree! I know Andie doesn’t quite understand it right now, but it’s so fun starting new traditions with her!

I think the tree turned out to be a beauty…

One last thing! Do you remember when I said I sold my dining table on a whim? Well, I finally got my new farmhouse table! And I LOVE it. Please excuse that fact that I do not have chairs yet…those are coming (not sure why we need chairs…we have created a habit of chowing down in our living room while watching This Is Us over and over again…tell me we aren’t alone in this??). I had a local guy build this table for me.

IMG_6545How pretty! Once I get my chairs in, I will post an update!

Well, that’s all for today! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I can’t wait for all of the fun things coming up for Christmas. It is my FAVORITE time of year.

Until next time!
