Happy Halloween, friends! Can you believe it’s already the end of October?? We are about to enter my FAVORITE time of year…Thanksgiving and Christmas, not to mention I have a November birthday…gosh, this time of year makes me so happy! And to be celebrating with Andie this year is the icing on the cake!
We have already been celebrating Halloween today, with a stop at Starbucks on the way to see daddy at work, as well as a trip to our favorite spot…Target – all while sporting our Halloween get-up this year…can you say cutest giraffe ever?? (Halloween is quickly becoming one of my favorite holidays now that I have a baby to dress up…also, do giraffes make noise? I keep asking Andie what a giraffe says, but I am now very aware that I actually don’t know what a giraffe says…).
I wanted to share a quick post on my front porch Fall decor. I didn’t do anything elaborate, but I am a big fan of updating my porch each season, even if it’s just something simple!
This year I added some mums and pumpkins (“basic” Fall staples…pun intended). I found these galvanized metal tubs at The Christmas Tree Shops of all places, a while ago. I had been on the hunt for some and found these for $25 each! They are great because they go with ANY season and make it easy to switch out what you put in them! I found my mums at Ingles…they were buy one get one FREE (what?!? SCORE).
I normally would have added a more “Fall-like” wreath, but I found this Magnolia Leaf wreath over the summer, and I just can’t bring myself to take it down yet! This was a find at Kirkland’s for $20 when they were having a sale!
Also, I painted my door blue (same color that I did in my Half Bath) with some leftover paint I had, not too long after we moved in, and it is one of my favorite things I have done! A painted front door adds SO much character to your home!
I found this rug at Target a while back, and LOVE it.
So just some simple touches to bring in the beautiful season of Fall! Next up, I’ll be updating this porch with some fun Christmas decor!
Oh and on the inside of my front door, I spruced up my homemade wreath with some Fall colors!
I am also debating on whether or not I should paint the inside of my front door the same color as the outside…just to give the foyer some pop! Stay tuned to find out if I actually do…
What are your plans for Halloween tonight?! Our wild night will include passing out candy to the neighborhood kiddos (I am secretly hoping we don’t have many kids come by so I can eat all of the candy myself) and giving our little one a bath…maybe Jordan and I will stay up late and watch a scary movie…or maybe we will end up in bed by 9:30 like most other nights…
Until next time and Happy Halloween!
